How to Get Involved
There are many ways to assist in the groundbreaking work being done by the Alternatives to Violence (AVP) Program in Bolivia, supported by WALJOK. Whether you choose to donate individually, with a matched employer donation, or through a legacy or Institutional gift, your contribution provides critical and lasting benefit.

Donate An Individual Gift
Every dollar of every donation to WALJOK directly supports the expansion of Alternatives to Violence (AVP) workshops in Bolivia, one of the poorest countries in South America, and it is well known that violent crime and domestic violence are strongly linked to poverty. The AVP workshops in prisons and in high schools successfully address the high prevalence of crime and domestic and partner violence. A one-time or recurring donation will change lives.

Planned and Institutional Giving
WALJOK welcomes partnerships with institutions, foundations, and individuals considering legacy or planned giving as a way to sustain long-term, community-led impact in Bolivia. Contributions to WALJOK support proven, nonviolent programs that operate across generations — from prison-based education and vocational projects to student homes and school workshops that strengthen families and communities before harm occurs. Planned gifts, corporate partnerships, and estate commitments allow this work to remain stable and responsive in moments of political uncertainty and economic strain, ensuring that locally led initiatives like AVP Bolivia can continue to grow with integrity and independence.
By including WALJOK in philanthropic strategies or estate plans, donors help build a durable foundation for education, dignity, and peace — investing not only in immediate outcomes, but in systems of care and opportunity that will endure well beyond a single grant cycle or generation.
We’d love to hear from you.
We look forward to talking with you about volunteer opportunities, planned and institutional giving, and any reactions or comments. Please use the form for the most direct way to reach us.
